Contract catering: collective labor agreement negotiations

The current Collective Labor Agreement for Contract Catering runs until 1 April 2022. In a number of rounds in January, February and March, we are working on a new Collective Labor Agreement with agreements for different groups of employees. The current employees who now fall under the CLA Contract Catering and (new) employees who work in contract catering and hospitality. In addition to the discussions about the broad sector collective labor agreement, the social partners also have discussions at the same time about the specific employment conditions for the inflight branch.

Final round of negotiations

On Wednesday 30 March 2022, employers and trade unions held a final discussion about the employment conditions for employees in contract catering, hospitality and inflight. The agenda of the sector collective labor agreement contained the remaining points that we still had to work out together. For example, we discussed the legal side of a transition from contract catering to hospitality and the broader description of the (activities of the) sector. The elaboration of a new job classification system for hospitality, the future of training & development (OCC), generation pact scheme and the description of the ORT in party catering were also discussed.

At the inflight, the last round was about being able to buy extra ADV days, who can participate in the intended generation pact scheme, the reimbursement of travel costs and the future of the inflight.

As has been done before, the social partners are still catching up with the representatives of the employee participation in contract catering and inflight about this latest round of negotiations. We will inform the participants present at the conference on the future of the sector on Monday 11 April in the Jaarbeurs. From Tuesday 12 April you can expect more information from the parties to the collective labor agreement about the outcome of the collective labor agreement negotiations for contract catering, hospitality and inflight.
