Cao and social plan result achieved by ABN AMRO

In the early morning of September 5, 2019 De Unie a negotiation result has been achieved for a new collective labor agreement and a new social plan for ABN AMRO employees.   • The term is 2 years.
  • The pay increase is 2,75% on April 1, 2020 and 2,75% on April 1, 2021.
  • Everyone gets an extra week of days off. Part-timers pro rata.
  • Everyone gets five Banking 4 Better days (B4B days) per year. Part-timers pro rata. You can fill this in very generously. This means that the two study days and the voluntary leave will lapse. Of course you can use the B4B days for voluntary work and study.
  • From 1 January partners can take 6 weeks of partner leave for the birth of a child.
  • The surcharges for picket, for example, remain the same.


  • A new pension scheme is needed for the next five years, whereby the premium will be adjusted.
  • Pension contribution in 2020 is 41% of the pension basis and in the 4 years thereafter 37% of the pension basis.
  • Your own contribution remains the same.

Social plan

  • The term of the new social plan is 2 years.
  • The capping on the fictitious retirement age will be canceled. Instead, the calculation is up to the state pension age. There will be a separate formula for the calculation. This consists of 1/3 per year of service (even if you are 2 months in that year, it counts for a whole year).
  • The multiplier becomes 2,3. The maximum remains the same.
  • For the travel time criterion, the cap of scale 6 will be canceled. In addition, 90 minutes one way will apply to everyone. The 40 km border will also be canceled. There will be a hardship clause in cases with unreasonable consequences for the new travel time.
  • The step-up scheme will be continued.
