Cao Drinks: Start and suspension of negotiations

The current collective labor agreement expires on December 31, 2020. In recent months, the employers, De Unie and the other trade unions held technical consultations in preparation for the collective labor agreement negotiations. A lot of substantive preliminary work has already been done. On Thursday, October 22, 2020, the parties to the collective labor agreement had a first collective agreement. Below a feedback.

Suspension of negotiations

The parties to the collective labor agreement have established that they are very far apart in terms of wishes and possibilities. The corona crisis is in full swing and is also affecting the Beverage industry. It is a period of many uncertainties. In view of the financial position of the companies, the parties to the collective labor agreement have jointly decided to pause and suspend the collective labor agreement negotiations.

How further?

The collective labor agreement negotiations will be suspended until March / April 2021. The parties to the collective labor agreement hope then to have more insight into social and economic developments. The intention is to continue the collective agreement consultations constructively at that time. In the period that there is no new CLA, the current CLA will be extended. The agreements and terms of employment therefore continue as usual.

Retirement

The parties to the collective labor agreement will have another technical consultation on 7 December 2020. The main point on the agenda is retirement. Then the pension premium for 2021 will also be known and the premium distribution shared with you.
