The mood among employers has also turned out positive. A third party, the CNV, has also agreed. This is how the collective labor agreement was established. This means that a number of employment conditions will be improved:

  • Your salary will be increased by 2,5% this month;
  • You are entitled to an extra day of leave;
  • If you make use of the statutory birth leave, your employer will supplement the benefit to your own salary. This agreement takes effect retroactively from 1 January 2022;
  • With effect from 2 August 2022, the agreement will take effect that you are entitled to 4 weeks of fully paid parental leave.

How does it go on?

A number of agreements have been made in the collective labor agreement that employers must implement in consultation with the works council. We think it is important to be actively involved in this. We seek contact with works councils to discuss the development of vitality plans and home working arrangements. I want the knowledge we have with De Unie like to share with works councils. So that you get better working conditions.

In the coming months, we will carry out an investigation together with the employers for other agreements. With this we are preparing the negotiations of the CAO Banks 2023.

This is true for:

  • Retirement
  • Leave savings
  • Career Switch Scheme
  • Informal care support

If there are important developments in these studies, I will inform you in a newsletter.

Advocacy

If you have any questions about your employment conditions, you can contact the representative Inge de Vries. For example, we have already been approached by members working at one of the affiliated Banks. This bank states that employees who still have a number of leave hours from previous years are not allowed to buy extra leave hours. It may also be the case with other banks.

This bank is acting in violation of Article 8.5 of the CAO Banks. During the collective labor agreement negotiations, the employers tried to agree that the purchase of leave hours could be limited by employers in order to prevent leave accumulations. This is by De Unie categorically rejected, we just want to agree on leave savings. It is of course not the intention that employers implement policy schemes that are not included in the collective labor agreement.
