Collective labor agreement reached in plastic, rubber and adhesive industry

July 08, 2022

On Friday 8 July, NRK Employers and the trade unions De Unie, CNV and FNV announced that the new collective labor agreement for the plastics, rubber and adhesives industry is final. They are happy with this result.

457 votes were cast via the DigiC poll, which is 9% of the employees in the collective labor agreement. Of these, 61% agreed with the negotiation result of June 16, 2022. Therefore, De Unie sign the collective agreement. CNV, FNV and NRK Employers also sign this collective labor agreement, since the majority of their members are positive about the result.

The most important agreements in the new collective labor agreement at a glance:

  • A term of 12 months; from June 1, 2022 to May 31, 2023
  • A structural wage increase of 2,0% as of June 1, 2022 and a structural wage increase of 2,0% as of November 1, 2022.
  • The parties will start an Action Plan from September 2022, based on the results of the DigiC study and the proposal letters. (Read the proposal letter here De Unie)
  • Additional and textual agreements have been made about consignment allowance, leave after death, maximum pension accrual in 2023 and pension for holiday workers.

Most companies will be able to factor the wage increase into their July 2022 salaries. The new collective labor agreement text will probably be published in September.
