Professional freight transport: Soob collective labor agreement has again been extended by five years

January 19 2022

The term of the SOOB collective labor agreement will expire on 1 July 2022 and it has been decided to extend it again without any changes for another five years. Unlike in the previous term, the parties have now agreed that an investigation will take place into the efficiency and effectiveness of the Transport and Logistics Foundation (STL). De Unie is happy with the initiation of an investigation, after all, a lot of money flows to the foundation and then it is good to know whether it is also being spent correctly and well.

SOOB stands for training and developing employees in the sector, but now (even) more emphasis will be placed on sustainable employability. De Unie believes it is important that young and old can work in a healthy way, now and later. Working should not be an obstacle to not being able to reach your retirement in a healthy way!

SOOB aims to ensure that there are enough well-trained and deployable employees in the sector. SOOB tries to keep control of the labor market policy and through STL it has the implementation done.

Take a look at their sites! www.stl.nl (on it you will find information about the pit stop, among other things) and www.soob-wegtransport.nl
