Professional freight transport: Third round of collective labor agreement consultations

October 07, 2022

On 6 October, the parties to the collective agreement negotiated a new collective agreement for the third time. Although the parties have expressed their wish to quickly arrive at a new collective labor agreement, it is feared that the employers' side will also say this, but will not act on it. The employer side did offer a travel allowance. Not complete, but a start has been made. Employees are entitled, in accordance with the applicable fiscal maximum net kilometer allowance, to a travel allowance of € 1 per kilometer with effect from 2023 January 0,21, with a maximum of 35 km (one-way travel distance) less the first 10 km. The maximum reimbursement per one-way travel distance is 25 x € 0,21 = € 5,25. It is allowed to deviate from this arrangement in a positive sense, in favor of the employee.

De Unie has expressed its disappointment to the employers' delegation and indicated that their negotiating method does not make a reliable impression on our supporters. Unions have sent employers home on this point with the order come October 14 with a good offer!
