Why a social framework?

In recent years, Arcadis has already taken many steps towards greater cooperation on a global scale. The organizational change associated with this is part of the Arcadis Strategy 2021-2023.

The COR and the director are always in close consultation about these changes. The COR has indicated in this that it would like to see a complete plan of how Arcadis intends to deal with the personnel consequences of the organizational changes. The COR informed all employees about this in its newsletter of December 2021.

It is assumed that Arcadis wants to retain its employees as much as possible. However, it cannot be ruled out that the changes will result in functions being canceled or that the content of the work will change to a greater or lesser extent. As a good employer, Arcadis wants a social and financial framework based on equality, transparency, unambiguity and market conformity.

Together with De Unie and the other trade unions, a social plan has therefore been drawn up, in which we record agreements about the possible consequences of the transformation. This ensures that employees know where they stand in the event of changes or the loss of positions.

When this social framework is adopted by the members, it comes into force and has a duration of 2 years. This social framework is part of the Arcadis collective labor agreement.

And the collective labor agreement, how is that process going?

Negotiations start on September 13, during which we discuss the proposals. The input we have received from you has been incorporated into a proposal letter. The FNV and CNV Vakmensen each have their own letter of proposals. During the process there is room to share your experiences, so that we can include them in the negotiations.
