On Wednesday, April 3, 2024, we started collective labor agreement negotiations to arrive at a new collective labor agreement from July 1, 2024 and beyond. In this message we inform you about our efforts and the process. The employer's commitment letter will also be shared with the members at the end of this week. The employer will share this via the intranet at the end of this week.
On Wednesday, all unions and the employer discussed and explained their commitment letters with each other. There was also ample opportunity to ask in-depth questions. The members will not be surprised that a number of wishes from the various associations are similar. Sometimes a slightly different accent, but with the same meaning. Even a number of wishes from the unions correspond with those of the employer.
The members will also not be surprised that the employer is very reluctant to increase costs, but that all unions insist on a justified increase in wages. De Unie is in any case committed to a structural wage increase of 10% for a term of the collective labor agreement until December 31, 2025.
Previously has De Unie a survey was conducted among the members of De Unie. All input has been shared with executives De Unie and in consultation this ultimately led to the commitment letter of De Unie. You'll find this one here .
The negotiations will really start next Tuesday, April 9. On this second day of negotiations, the unions will discuss with the employer how we can reach an agreement. It is expected that we will need several days to achieve a result. We will keep members informed about progress.
