There are always changes on January 1 and July 1one place in the field of labor law and social security. Whether you work, are retired or receive benefits: it is quite possible that this will affect you, your income and your situation. Below we provide a clear overview of what will change for you on 1 July 2023.

Minimum wage
The rounded (gross) minimum wage will increase as of 1 July 2023. Below you will find the minimum wage per month, week and day in euros (excluding holiday allowance):

Vision on reintegration
Are you ill for a long time? Then you draw up an action plan together with your employer – and a first-year evaluation after one year. From 1 July, you must also include a vision on your reintegration in these documents. In other words: from now on you will record what you think of the reintegration process. This should ensure that you continue to have a better conversation about your reintegration.

Increase in AOW amounts
The amount of AOW benefits is adjusted every six months. The amount is derived from the minimum wage and depends on your living situation.
- If you live alone, you will receive € 1.458,15 gross monthly.
- If you are married or living together, you will receive € 993,16 gross per person per month.

Shorter continued payment of wages in case of illness
Are you still employed after the state pension age and do you become ill? Then you are entitled to 1 weeks of continued payment of wages until 13 July. After that, this period is shortened to 6 weeks. Were you already ill before 1 July? Then you are entitled to 13 weeks of continued payment of wages.

Daily wages
The daily wages of the ZW, WW, WAO and WIA benefits will also be increased. Until July 1, the maximum daily wage is € 256,54 gross per day, after that it is € 264,57.
