What should I pay attention to?
The job market is always on the move and many fields are changing all the time. This makes it important to regularly reflect on your work, skills and future. Can you continue to do the same work in the coming years, and do you want to? There are many parties that can help with this. For example, the government often makes subsidies available for development and career coaching – for example after the corona crisis. But your own employer can also offer a solution for your future: many collective labor agreements and contracts contain agreements about training or development budgets.
What does this mean for me?
Giving direction to your work future can be very difficult. Yet you are the one who will have to deal with it. You know better than anyone what exactly you want, what you excel at and what makes you happy. That doesn't mean you're on your own though. A career coach can help you with answers. Not by telling them, but by asking you exactly the right questions, so that you can determine your goal. And then figure out what steps you need to take to get there.
