Following the vote of the other unions and the content of the critical note of the voters of De Unie the NZO has decided to make an improved final offer. The structural collective wage increase has been increased from 6% to 8%. The one-off payment will therefore lapse. In addition, the RVU scheme has been slightly expanded. What happens to our mood now?

The previous final offer was accepted with a small majority. There was a clear critical note in the vote, which was also shared with the employers. There are no deteriorations in the improved final offer. Therefore, formally we do not need to re-vote and this offer is still a basis for De Unie to conclude a collective bargaining agreement. We are very curious whether this improvement meets the critical note of our members in the vote. If you want to say something about this, please contact us via the contact details below.

When will the new collective agreement come into effect?

The collective labor agreement committees of the other unions have decided that the improved final offer is not sufficient to submit to their members again. They have rejected the previous final offer and are sending an ultimatum to employers, reverting to the demands in their proposal letters. If the employers do not come closer to this ultimatum with their offer, they will start campaigning. While this process is underway, no new collective labor agreement will be concluded. This also means that the agreements as proposed in the final offer have not yet been made. These are not implemented yet. We will of course keep the employees informed of the progress of this process.

Can I also take action if I voted against?

When an action is formally declared by a trade union, every employee in the sector is free to participate in these actions. If you are a member of De Unie If you have voted against, you are also free to campaign for a better collective labor agreement. Employees who are not members of a union are also allowed to take part in campaigning.
