On Friday 24 June I, Emanuel Geurts (representative) negotiated a social plan with Henk Gerla and Marlies Guezen of Zorg en Zekerheid. The social plan is necessary for the reorganization of three healthcare shops into one healthcare shop in Leiden. Below you can read a short feedback about it.

Social plan
The trade unions have concept social plan received and commented on. I can roughly divide our comments about it into textual points, clarification questions and negotiation points. I'm not much concerned about the textual and clarification points; we'll figure that out and get a modified text. The focus of the negotiation is on the termination fee. Zorg en Zekerheid considers this severance payment appropriate in view of what has been agreed at the competition. The trade unions think the amount or the factor is too low and will make a counter offer.

The next step is for your employer to draw up a new version of the social plan and send it to us. The next round of negotiations was scheduled for Friday, July 1, 2022. Because this is not convenient, it will be moved to a date in the following week. The intention of the parties is in any case to be able to provide clarity about the social plan before the summer holidays. Whether this is successful depends in particular on the amount or factor of the severance payment to be determined. We will also discuss the request for advice and the social plan with a delegation from the Works Council.
