Residential services: Difficult start

June 14, 2023

On June 13, 2023 De Unie and the other CLA parties met for the first time to come to a new CLA. It was nice to hear that all parties clearly had one important main theme this time, namely the salary!

Other themes play a less important role this year. With this, all parties once again underlined the need to arrive at a good wage offer in this time in which we now live. When explaining the various proposals letters, it turned out that we all want to go for a 1-year collective labor agreement. The explanations initially gave the impression that everyone was on the same page.

However, upon further investigation, it soon turned out to be the opposite! We are very far apart. The employer side does get a compliment from me, because for me it is the first time in all those years that I have been sitting at this negotiating table that they have actually come up with an opening bid in the first round, chapeau! Now we just hope that in the second round, which will take place on August 22, they will also come up with a follow-up offer that is realistic.

Below you will find the links of the various proposal letters:

We will see whether we enter a heavy fall after August 22 or whether the employers' side has woken up and comes up with a well-deserved realistic offer.
