Division

It seems only a matter of time before the Vestia as we know it now ceases to exist. According to the latest plans (see also: https://www.vestia.nl/News/2152/ Vestia will split up into three independent housing associations as of 1 January 2023. Exactly what the new organizations will look like in terms of organizational structure and staffing is the subject of discussion between the director and the Vestia works council. This process has been going on for several months and will continue for some time to come.

Social plan

De Unie together with the two trade unions FNV Woondiensten and CNV Vakmensen, is currently in talks with the board, HR and the works council (OR) about the content of the social plan and how this ties in with the unbundling. The talks are conducted in a good atmosphere. Despite the fact that it is not clear on all points what the future situation will look like, the parties are looking for the best solutions together.

In conversation

The union leaders are happy to discuss the intended unbundling and what this means for (the content of) the redundancy plan with the employees. That is why Emanuel Geurts on behalf of De Unie, Janneke Waage of FNV Woondiensten and Peter Vlaming of CNV Vakmensen invited members and Vestia colleagues to a digital employee meeting on Wednesday 24 November 2021 from 16.00 pm to 17.30 pm via MS Teams.
