UWV: collective bargaining

January 30 2023

The collective labor agreement negotiations at UWV have been particularly difficult this year. The room that the UWV wants or can offer for salary increases does not fit in a time of high inflation.

Join now De Unie. You can do that from €0!

Two track strategy

De Unie works along two tracks to bring about the UWV collective labor agreement.
Track 1: formal or informal consultation.
Track 2: organizing activities.

Platform 1

On 9 February 2023, trade unions will hold a UWV collective bargaining meeting. If UWV has found room for more salary increase, we can talk further. Otherwise, we will have to put more pressure on your employer. We have track 2 for that. In any case, there will be an action on February 9th.

Platform 2

Trade unions have repeatedly communicated the signals to UWV on behalf of the employees. The petition has been organized to show UWV that we really speak on behalf of the employees and that our supporters are large. But if the UWV does not listen to the opinion of the employees, they may leave us no other choice. Then we have to step up the activities until people do listen. If UWV does not respond again on February 9, we want to be able to announce a next activity on February 10, 2023. This means that we have to consider the next step. We want to determine together with you what the possible next steps are.

Investigation

So fill this one investigation in. The survey is open until Tuesday 7 February 2023. The executives and representatives of De Unie are prepared to put in the work that is necessary to establish a good UWV CLA. We need your help with that.

What can you do

  • Complete the survey as completely as possible by February 7, 2023 at the latest;
  • Forward this to your colleagues in your team or department and ask them to participate as well (maybe your colleagues have already received a survey from someone else, filling it in once is enough);
  • Discuss the possible next steps with your colleagues;
  • Send us your tips and advice where we can take the most effective actions.
