Over the past few weeks, we've met with employers several times to discuss the new collective bargaining agreement. We've covered all the points in our proposal letter. The focus is currently on three topics: the heavy-duty regulations, the new job classification/pay structure, and, of course, the pay increase.

Heavy work regulation
The current RVU scheme is being discontinued. We want to include a new provision in the new collective bargaining agreement to allow early retirement. However, it is currently unclear which group will be eligible. Because this requires significant wage leeway and it is unclear who would be eligible, we have decided to postpone this topic to a future collective bargaining agreement.
Job classification, salary structure and salary increase
Due to the rise in minimum wages in recent years, the current wage structure has been compressed. Therefore, a new job classification system and wage structure are necessary to make it worthwhile to make progress in the wage structure. A proposal has been developed for this purpose in collaboration with employers and our experts. Implementing this alone will cost over 3% of the wage margin. This makes it difficult to make additional agreements on wage increases and other matters. Employers indicate that after this, there will be little room left.
What now?
Op October 30 The next meeting is scheduled. We will then discuss the total available wage margin and its distribution across all topics. Our goal is to reach a result in this meeting. We will provide you with further information after October 30th, hopefully with good news. We will do everything we can.
