The employer has already submitted six requests for advice to the works councils for this purpose. Below you can read a brief summary of which departments, for what reason and how many employees will become redundant, based on the information we have received from your employer.
Design
The Design department has changed from a product-oriented organization to a digital design. The external circumstances and cost focus lead to efficiency measures being taken and the presence of IP being partly moved to those parts where the company also goes, such as India and Spain. This leads to the elimination of four designer positions and one management position in the Netherlands.
Intellectual property
Due to the external circumstances and the focus on costs, it is planned to eliminate two positions within the IP department.
Nature Connect
NatureConnect is a growth engine for Signify with a large part of its employees in the Netherlands, while the potential growth is mainly in North America. Support must be brought closer to the potential customer. This leads to the expiration of one position.
R&D management
R&D management organization is a team that provides support to the R&D teams in the business worldwide. Due to the external circumstances and the focus on costs, it is planned to eliminate six positions within the Netherlands.
Research
Research, as part of Innovation, is responsible for driving innovation as the central organization within Signify. The current footprint with three specific locations, including Eindhoven, will continue to exist. But due to external circumstances and the focus on costs, it is planned to eliminate thirty-three positions within the Netherlands.
Standards & Regulations
The Standards & Regulations department is the driving force behind the standardization and regulatory activities for Signify in line with the company's strategy and purpose. The external circumstances and the focus on costs lead to the intention to eliminate two positions within the Netherlands.
Central social plan
The current central social plan applies to employees who become redundant, which is valid until the end of this year.
