The advocate Suat Koetloe thanks everyone who made the effort to vote. After an inventory of the votes cast, he was able to conclude that there is insufficient support among our members for the acceptance of the employer's final offer. Based on this it will De Unie not accept the employer's final offer.
It has now been learned that the outcome of the member consultation at the other trade unions is also not positive. Together with the other trade unions, we have already informed the employer of the outcome of our member consultation. In the coming weeks we will update both internally De Unie if we discuss together with the other trade unions what steps we can take next to convince the employer that a new collective labor agreement that is acceptable to all parties must be concluded for all employees.
We will inform our members as soon as possible when we know in concrete terms what the next steps may be to agree on a new collective labor agreement with the employer. Whatever the outcome, we will need the support of members and their colleagues. Let them also read this letter and make them a member De Unie. This can be done very easily via this link.
