Philips: Outcome three-quarter members' meeting

May 04, 2023
Philips High Tech Campus Eindhoven

To date, there has not yet been a collective agreement at Philips. Unfortunately, the negotiations on this did not lead to a good result. This is for De Unie reason to prepare for the next step. Part of this is that we organized a ¾ meeting. The outcome of this is clear. Members of De Unie support any actions at Philips with the aim of achieving an acceptable collective labor agreement result. The outcome of this ¾ meeting has been decided by the board of De Unie taken over. This clears the way for an ultimatum to be sent to Philips. We have already done this. Philips has until Friday 5 May, 12.00:XNUMX noon to respond. Because Philips did not accept the final offer, we fall back on our original commitment letter and therefore on automatic price compensation.

How further

If Philips does not comply with our demands, we will call on everyone to take action. Where, when and in what form is currently unknown. We will send the members an email about this on Monday 8 May.

(Strike) actions

Work interruptions are not excluded. Members of De Unie with a Complete membership, are eligible for a strike benefit. You have to register yourself for this. More information about this will follow on Monday.

Only the paying members can receive a strike payment when they participate in the strike action. Non-members or light members can also strike but do not receive any benefits. If they immediately become a paying member and/or convert their light membership into Complete membership, they can also receive a strike benefit.

Retirement

On 3 May, at the explicit request of the Philips pension fund, we will consult with Philips about the choice to be made regarding a new pension scheme. When the new pension legislation becomes a fact, the fund will need time to implement the new legislation and regulations. We see the call from the fund separately from the collective labor agreement process with Philips, which is why De Unie and the other unions have expressed their preference and are opting for a Solidaire Pension Scheme for the time being. Philips, on the other hand, opts for a Flexible Pension Scheme. We will keep members informed.

If you have any questions regarding this, you can contact Suat Koetloe (representative) by e-mail. suat.koetloe@unie.nl or by calling 06-5252 2061.
