Flashback: Before the summer, Philips offered a 2% wage increase for 15 months, which amounts to only 1,6% per year. Little attention was paid to our proposals, such as improving the 80/85/100 scheme and a better, extended Central Social Plan.

Consultation, petition and media
We then pressed the pause button and invited the members and – via flyers at the gate – also employees to member meetings in September. The message was clear: the wage offer of 1,6% must be taken off the table. A petition was therefore launched in consultation to give this extra attention. During the member meetings that were reasonably attended, it was indicated that attention for the clear message that could also be echoed in the press. The petition was brought to attention several times and was eventually signed by 20% of all Philips employees. The petition was then presented to the employer and various media reported on it.
Result
Philips then invited the unions for consultations quite quickly, and this led to a result after a number of successive rounds of discussions. here you will find the flyer about that and here the result of the negotiations.
Wage agreements
The original proposal of 1,6% has been withdrawn. Instead, there will be a 3% wage increase as of December 1, 2024, with a minimum of
€1.800. In addition, there will be a further increase of 1% on 2025 September 3, again with a minimum of €1.800. This floor amount means that the lower pay scales benefit from an increase of more than 3%. Here find the effects of the floor.
Further highlights of the result
You can see the highlights of the result here .
Maximum
Given the circumstances in which Philips finds itself, and how we discussed it with each other during the members' meetings, this result is the maximum we could achieve through negotiations with Philips.
To vote!
Members with a Full membership or Extra membership can participate in the decision-making process. They have received an invitation to vote until December 1, 2024.
