Philips: Collective Labor Agreement negotiation process

May 31, 2024

It was with surprise and disappointment that the trade unions took note of Philips' decision to suspend collective labor agreement consultations on May 29. The management has indicated that it is currently unable to make a wage offer. Negotiations on a new collective labor agreement will resume the first week of July.

The reason unknown!

Philips has not given a reason for this unexpected turn of events. The management claims that unforeseen circumstances currently make it impossible to make a reliable offer.

The unions deeply regret this state of affairs. Especially now that income is under pressure and work pressure is increasing, it is very important that clarity about a new collective labor agreement is quickly provided.

Unacceptable!

We find it unacceptable that Philips leaves employees uncertain about their employment conditions in these uncertain times. Philips employees deserve better than this.

How further?

The unions are currently considering the situation that has arisen and the arguments that Philips has put forward. We cannot yet assess whether there is a valid reason to suspend the collective labor agreement process. We will of course keep you informed of further developments.

Please also pass this message on to your colleagues who are not yet members De Unie read. They can also be informed of developments in the collective labor agreement process when they become members.
