Negotiation result of the collective labor agreement VodafoneZiggo

May 20, 2022

As of today, VodafoneZiggo employees can vote on the negotiation result for their new collective labor agreement.

De Unie participated for the first time in the collective labor agreement negotiations at VodafoneZiggo and followed the so-called DigiC process. This means that all employees are involved to provide input for the negotiations and all employees are given the opportunity to vote on the final result. Over the past week and a half, information has been provided within VodafoneZiggo through webinars and Q&A sessions about the end result in order to inform employees as well as possible about the choice that is now ahead. After all, you can opt for a 1-year or a 2-year collective labor agreement. In both cases, a vote is taken simultaneously on a renewed social plan.

De Unie is satisfied with the progress made with VodafoneZiggo. The results of the DigiC study have laid an important basis for the discussions with VodafoneZiggo and have returned to important elements in the negotiated result achieved. Think of elements such as faster growth in the scale, making holidays flexible, a home working allowance, extra investment in sustainable employability and vitality and of course a collective wage increase in combination with indexation of the wage scales. With regard to the collective wage increase, we also realize that this does not mean that everyone will retain purchasing power due to the sharp rise in inflation. The question is therefore whether this can be repaired completely at the collective labor agreement table in the current context without disproportionately affecting VodafoneZiggo's competitive position. Compared to the agreements currently being made elsewhere in the market, the agreement at VodafoneZiggo does not differ significantly. It is now up to VodafoneZiggo employees to determine whether the collective labor agreement and the renewed social plan will actually be implemented. You can now vote.

In order to vote, employees will be approached today by the independent research agency Innervoice. You will receive a message via the work address with a link to a voting form in which the agreement is explained once again and where you can then cast a vote with an explanation. You can vote until May 27.
