
The Future Pensions Act (Wtp) has been in force since 1 July 2023. This law requires that pension schemes must be adjusted. A transition period has been given for this until January 1, 2028.
Preparatory working groups
De Unie is actively involved in the various working groups that prepare the adjustment to the Wtp for the active pension scheme and the three closed pension funds.
The working group dealing with the active pension scheme, which is implemented by Befrank, recently issued advice to collective labor agreement parties. The working group is composed on an equal basis. Joint means that the employer and trade unions carried out the study together. Consultations have also been held with the pension provider Befrank. From De Unie two people participated in the preparatory study.
Content advice
The most important part of the advice concerns the adjustment of the survivor's pension. This is necessary to bring the pension scheme into compliance with the new legislation. In addition, smaller adjustments are needed in the net pension scheme and the purchase of pension in the form of a fixed benefit must change.
Advice to executives
The executives of De Unie have assessed the working group's advice. They agree with the advice and consider it a good starting point for the negotiations on Thursday, May 16, 2024.
Consultation May 16, 2024
On Thursday, May 16, the collective labor agreement parties (trade unions and NN) will discuss the working group's advice. If this leads to a negotiation result then submit De Unie This is for members with a Complete or extra membership.
