We recently submitted the negotiation result for a new collective labor agreement for Metal and Technology, with a positive recommendation, to the members of De Unie in the sector. Our members had until February 20, 2026, to cast their votes. Voting has now closed. Many members cast their votes, thank you!

Members agree!
We are pleased to announce that the vast majority of members who voted supported the negotiated outcome. The comments made show that our members are particularly pleased with the new agreement regarding additional vacation hours for older employees. Finally, this arrangement will be implemented as our members desired. The accrual of additional vacation hours will remain in effect until the state pension age.
Our members are also satisfied with the two-year term of the new collective labor agreement, as this contributes to peace and stability within the sector.
Critical comments
Of course, there were also critical comments, particularly regarding the wage increase. Our members would have preferred a full percentage increase. The way wage increases are currently applied (a combination of a percentage increase and a nominal amount) will have a leveling effect.
How further?
After the votes of the other unions and employers have been completed, a final agreement on the new collective labor agreement for the Metal and Technology sector will be reached. This is expected around the second week of March. We will inform our members when this happens.
Keep following us!
We want to thank everyone for their commitment and hope that you, along with your colleagues, will continue to follow and support us. Together we can achieve more!
