Metal and Technology: Member consultation on collective labor agreement negotiation results

Last week, we informed our members of our disappointment with the current state of negotiations with the employers. It was also uncertain at that time whether there would be sufficient opportunity for further discussions. We subsequently found that opportunity.

We are pleased to inform you that we have succeeded in continuing negotiations. This led to intensive, constructive discussions and ultimately to a negotiated outcome, which we reached on January 27, 2026. Starting today, members with a Full or Extra membership can cast their vote on this matter.

The most important agreements at a glance

Duration and income:

  • A term of 2 years: from February 1, 2026 to January 31, 2028.
  • A structural wage increase of 3% as of March 1, 2026.
  • A structural salary increase of €115 gross as of March 1, 2027, which represents 3% of the average salary in the sector.
  • A one-off payment of €132 gross in November 2026.

Remaining appointments:

  • Retention of the right to additional vacation hours for older employees (senior days) up to the state pension age.
    For employees aged 55 to 57, these extra days will be converted into wages from January 2027, unless you choose to keep the extra days.
  • Continuation of the RVU scheme, with an increase of €300 and retention of the Generation Pact.
  • Your union dues for 2026 will be fully reimbursed by your employer, provided you are a member on February 1, 2026. The same agreement applies for 2027. Please inform your colleagues of this.
  • New agreements on sustainable employability that contribute to healthy and enjoyable working conditions (see the content of the negotiation result for further explanation).

Cast your vote

Members with a Full or Extra membership have received an invitation to vote. Voting will run until February 20, 2026. We are satisfied with the results and recommend voting to these members.
