Marel: Members can now vote on the RAU 2026

March 04 2026

Members recently approved the revised remuneration system at Marel. As a result, a proposal for the Performance-Based Allowance (RAU) 2026 has also been submitted. We are asking members with Full or Extra memberships to vote on this proposal.

What does the proposal entail?

Marel proposes to continue the RAU scheme in 2026. The scheme's core structure will remain the same as in previous years.

The most important change is technical in nature. The regulation amends the definition of the nominal annual salary. This is because the new remuneration system now refers to the maximum salary as 115% of the comparatio.

The method by which the RAU is calculated remains the same. Only the definition of nominal salary has been adjusted due to the previously revised remuneration system.

The payout therefore remains dependent on the achieved company results (EBITDA) and the ESG goals.

What finds De Unie?

We have reviewed the proposal and see that the scheme remains virtually identical in substance to the existing RAU. The adjustment is primarily a result of the previously revised terminology in the remuneration system. Therefore, we recommend that members with a Full or Extra membership vote on the proposal.

Na 2026

Marel has indicated that in 2026 it will be possible to explore whether the RAU scheme can be brought more into line with the JBT regulations in the future. If this results in concrete proposals, they will be discussed again with the unions and presented to the members.
