De New Collective Labor Agreement for Insurance Companies 2025-2026 has been publishedThe collective labor agreement has now been registered with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment and is therefore official. The RVU scheme in the Collective Labor Agreement for the Insurance Industry will not be extended after December 31, 2025. The parties to the collective labor agreement still had to make a decision on this based on the recently published RVU guidelines and the Assessment Framework for the Delimitation of Functions or Activities for RVU Schemes. You can read more about this at No extension of RVU scheme.

AI

Most employees in the financial sector will already encounter some form of AI in their work. The insurance sector is certainly not lagging behind, which is why (at the initiative of De Unie) The current collective labor agreement (CBA) devotes an article to AI and links it to learning and development. In my view, it's not a "nice-to-have" but a "need-to-have." The UWV published a report on AI and the labor market in early July 2025: AI offers opportunities and threats for the labor marketThis section outlines the professions that face opportunities and threats from developments in AI, and the financial sector is clearly highlighted. In June 2025, the Social and Economic Council (SER) also published a report on AI: AI and Work Advice: Working Together Towards a Working Future with AI | SERThey also identify opportunities and threats with a view to the (near) future. Many substantive reports on AI are published, but Microsoft's 2025: The year the Frontier Firm is born We would like to draw your attention to the fact that we provide an outline of the (future) AI scenarios.

We're curious to hear your opinion on the opportunities and risks of AI for your work and the future. Does your employer already have an AI strategy? And how are you enabled to anticipate it? Email your experiences and expectations to the advocate via emanuel.geurts@unie.nl or call 06-5252 2074.
