The new collective labor agreement text is ready. Changing the texts was not so much the point. The adjustment of the vitality scheme had to be coordinated with the Tax Authorities. For employees aged 60 and older, the vitality scheme has been expanded. This means that they can use the scheme from 1 January 2026 in the run-up to their well-deserved retirement. To be on the safe side, the collective labour agreement parties had this agreement assessed by the Tax Authorities. You can read more about this on New Collective Labor Agreement for Insurance Companies 2025-2026 published.

Quarterly meeting

A number of agreements have been made that the collective labour agreement parties will elaborate on during the term of the collective labour agreement. This list includes research into employment patterns. Employers and trade unions want to learn more about employment patterns, contract hours and the effects of lowering the standard annual hours norm in the sector. The form in which this should take place is still to be determined together. Both parties will first discuss this within their own circle.

There is not much more to report about the research into the applicability of the RVU to the sector after 31 December 2025, other than that we are awaiting the national elaboration of the national agreement 'Healthy towards retirement'. You can read more about this on Healthy towards retirement negotiators' agreement | Parliamentary document | Rijksoverheid.nl.

It can be reported that a joint working group is working on the working agreement 'wage gap / equal pay'. Experts are being consulted about it. In the meantime, the Association has given a response during the consultation round. You can read that in the Association's Response to Consultation on Wage Transparency Directive. The CBS has also recently published a report on the state of affairs in this regard in the sectors of the Netherlands. This also applies to the financial sector. You can read more about this in Wage gap between men and women increasingly smaller | CBS.

About the working group (Renewal) Arbocatalogus it can be reported that the components Screen work and Pregnancy are ready and have been submitted to the Labour Inspectorate for approval. The Labour Inspectorate has confirmed receipt and is now taking the time for its assessment. In the meantime, the working group is working on rewriting the other chapters.

There is also a joint working group that focuses on sustainable employability in the sector. They are organizing five masterclasses in 2025. The next one will be about AI. You can read more about this on Masterclass sustainable employability (2) AI with attention: smart support for sustainable employability.
