Background to the collective labor agreement

During the collective labor agreement negotiations, De Unie that members indicate that they would like to follow training courses, but for various reasons cannot do so. Important arguments that members use are: no time, the right training course is not offered by ING and there is no budget.

During the collective labor agreement negotiations, an agreement was made to investigate what is needed to further train and educate ING employees.

Workgroup

A joint working group has started working on this assignment. They are working hard to make education and development better and more accessible. One of the subjects the working group is looking at is the learning account.

learning account

The learning account is one of the instruments with which ING enables employees to execute their plan for Beyond (part of your IDP). ING deposits an annual amount of 375,00 euros into the account for the learning account (up to a maximum of 1.875,00 euros). With this budget, the employee can decide for themselves which training they want to follow via the learning account. The working group would like to know what the experiences with the learning account are.

Research into the effectiveness of the learning account

To find out what employees think of the learning account, how they use it, a short survey has been drawn up. The members have received an invitation to complete the survey by Sunday 9 February 2025 at the latest. The working group can continue with that response.

Periodic consultations

De Unie has monthly periodic consultations with ING. These consultations are used to discuss the state of affairs within the organization, to work out collective labor agreements and we can also discuss topics that are of interest to the members of De Unie be important to put on the agenda.

One of the collective labor agreements was the extension of free public transport travel (with the Mobility Card) to the weekend. This will take effect on February 1, a month earlier than agreed. It is great that this improvement can be implemented so quickly.

Additional meetings have been scheduled for February and March to discuss the text for the new collective labor agreement. The expectation is that the parties will have completed this consultation by mid-March.

The next periodic consultation is on February 17, 2025. Are there topics that are important to you? You can contact the advocate Inge de Vries about this by sending an email to: inge.de.vries@unie.nl
