Negotiations were held on 2 and 3 December to reach a new ING CLA. The conversations were intensive and in a constructive atmosphere. But despite the efforts of collective labor agreement parties, there is still no negotiation result.

Survey
Beforehand, De Unie conducted a survey among its members. The result of this survey is normative for us. We compare the agreements we can reach with ING with the position taken by the members of De Unie.
The members of De Unie, as well as their colleagues, are clear:
- The structural salary increase is too late and too little, especially the second CLA year.
- Variable pay is not a desirable part of the collective labor agreement negotiations.
- Pay for growth is rejected by a majority.
Intermediate outcome of negotiations
ING management has set a tight framework to conclude a collective agreement. Within this framework, it is not possible to reach a CLA that also takes into account the limits indicated by the members of De Unie.
Obviously, all parties must be willing to take a step towards the other party. By De Unie's negotiating team, these steps have been taken. We started by giving up 4% profit-sharing arrangement. Then we also appeared to have to move in the structural salary increase. But even then we do not meet the expectations of the ING management.
Monday, December 9 onwards
The will to reach a collective agreement is there. That is also why we agreed to continue talks on Monday 9 December. But after two days of negotiations, we have gone through all the elements of the CLA. It helps if we feel supported by the members on December 9. That's why we are asking you to sign a petition.

Petition
By signing the petition, you indicate that you share De Unie's position in the CLA negotiations. The position of De Unie is:
- The structural salary increase offered is too late and too low.
- Pay for growth must lead to a real improvement.
- Variable pay must be presented to the target group.
You can sign the petition here. Do so by Sunday 8 December at the latest. And also ask your colleagues to sign the petition because only with great employee support can we ensure that you are listened to.
