Negotiations were held on 2 and 3 December to reach a new ING collective labour agreement. The discussions were intensive and in a constructive atmosphere. But despite the efforts of the collective labour agreement parties, there is still no negotiation result.

Investigation
In advance has De Unie a survey was held among the members. The outcome of this survey is decisive for us. We compare the agreements that we can make with ING with the position that the members have taken.
The members of De Unie, and their colleagues, are clear:
- The structural salary increase is too late and too little, especially in the second year of the collective labor agreement.
- Variable remuneration is not a desirable part of collective labor agreement negotiations.
- Pay for growth is rejected by a majority.
Interim result of negotiations
The ING board has set strict frameworks for concluding a collective labor agreement. Within these frameworks, it is not possible to reach a collective labor agreement that also takes into account the limits that the members of De Unie indicate.
Of course, all parties must be prepared to take a step towards the other party. By the negotiating team of De Unie these steps have been taken. We have given up the profit sharing scheme (this represents 4%). Then we also moved in the structural salary increase. But even then we do not reach an agreement.
Monday December 9th continues
The will to reach a collective labor agreement is there. That is why we also agreed to continue talking on Monday, December 9. But after two days of negotiations, we have really gone through all the elements of the collective labor agreement.
It helps if we know we are supported by the members on December 9. That is why we ask you to sign a petition.
Petition
By signing the petition you indicate that you support the position of De Unie in the collective labor agreement negotiations. The position of De Unie is:
- The structural salary increase offered is too late and too low.
- Pay for growth must lead to real improvement.
- Variable rewards must be presented to the target group.
You can use tickets & info sign the petition. Do this no later than Sunday, December 8. And also ask your colleagues to sign the petition because only with the great support of the employees can we ensure that you are heard.
