ING: offer petition 10 November 2022

November 01 2022

The petition that De Unie together with the other trade unions will close on November 7, 2022. The petition will then be presented.

Place: the square in front of Cedar (Amsterdam)
Time: 12.00 o'clock
Date: November 10, 2022

What can you do

  • Will you work in Amsterdam on November 10, 2022 if possible?
  • During your lunch break, come to the square in front of Cedar at 12.00:XNUMX and take your colleagues with you.

The press is invited and we want impressive photos in the newspaper.

  • If you can't come to Amsterdam, at least take part in the ING work-at-the-office day that we will also be holding on November 10. If everyone works at the office on this day, we immediately know whether ING still has a workplace for all employees. This is interesting for the discussion about the homework allowance.
  • Ask your colleagues to sign the petition by November 7 at the latest. This is possible here.

To date, the trade unions have collectively collected about 5.000 signatures. But we want to make a lot more impact.

Why are we organizing this petition?

ING employees have not had a salary increase in 2020 and 2021, while ING makes billions in profit. Now inflation is at an all-time high. De Unie wants a collective labor agreement that does justice to ING employees. That is why we have sharpened the collective labor agreement negotiations, more sharply than the members of De Unie to be used to. We want a good starting offer from ING. If we start negotiating now, ING's salary offer will remain at the 3% it is now offering. After all, ING's position has not changed, namely that salaries at ING are higher than the salaries from the 'confidential' benchmark. As far as the company is concerned, only the employees designated by ING are eligible for an increase. You won't get very far with a company that thinks like that if you're willing to negotiate reasonably. Reasonableness has to come from both sides. At ING, we, as trade unions and employees, have to make it clear to ING that with an inflation rate of 16%, you can no longer afford a structural salary increase of 3%.

Hence our strategy, first a decent starting bid from ING, then we'll talk.

Petition for fair salary increase

The petition launched by De Unie, together with the other trade unions, will close on November 7, 2022. The petition will then be presented to ING.

Place: the square in front of Cedar (Amsterdam)
Time: 12.00 o'clock
Date: November 10, 2022

What can you do?

  •  Work in Amsterdam on November 10, 2022 if possible
  • Come to the square in front of Cedar during your lunch break at 12:00 and take your colleagues with you.The press is invited and we want to show them an impressive gathering of ING employees.
  • If you can't come to Amsterdam, at least participate in the ING work-at-the-office day that we will also be holding on November 10. If everyone works at the office on this day, we immediately know whether ING still has a workplace for all employees. This is interesting for the discussion about the homework allowance.
  • Ask your colleagues to sign the petition for a fair salary raise, no later than November 7. This can be done here.

The trade unions have collectively collected about 5,000 signatures so far. But we have to make a far greater impact to convince ING.

Why are we organizing this petition?

ING employees have not had a salary increase in 2020 and 2021, while ING makes billions in profit. Now inflation is at an all-time high. The Union wants a collective labor agreement (CLA) that does justice to ING employees. That is why we have taken a strong stance starting the CLA negotiations. We want a good starting offer from ING. If we start negotiating now, ING's salary bid will remain at the current 3% level. After all, ING's position has not changed, namely that salaries at ING are higher than the salaries from the 'confidential' benchmark. As far as the company is concerned, only the employees designated by ING are eligible for an increase. If ING doesn't act like a dutch company, it's not usefull fort De Unie to ignore like a reasonable union. Reasonableness has to come from both sides. At ING, we, as unions and employees, have to convince ING that a structural salary increase of 3% just isn't sufficient in these days. Hence our strategy, first a decent starting bid from ING, then we'll talk.
