Holland Casino: Going back VGR and Master

08 September 2022

In the previous collective labor agreement, an agreement was made to jointly investigate with Holland Casino, trade unions and the works council (OR) whether we can arrive at healthier schedules in which support is very important.

De Unie actively participated in the research with its executives. Trade unions themselves have an important voice with regard to schedules because they co-decide when changes in schedules lead to collective bargaining adjustments. Although the parties certainly did not always agree in the roster discussion, the talks were constructive. We have always focused on the autonomy of the employee, under the motto if you have something to say about the schedules, it contributes to health.

At the intercession of Holland Casino, an independent agency has conducted a survey among the personnel of Holland Casino. The result was very clear. This has resulted in us returning to the system of VGR and Master roster known to us. For this I refer you to the joint communication on this point of the HC, Works Council and unions.

Missed opportunity from planning department

De Unie is absolutely not happy that Holland Casino has not chosen to reverse the centralization of the planning department, as many colleagues want. This is an independent decision by Holland Casino and has also been communicated as such. We think it works better and more efficiently if the planning department plans again from the location as it did before corona. This increases the grip on the grid. Grip on the schedule remains a priority for us.

Social plan

De Unie previously proposed to Holland Casino to extend the social plan. Holland Casino responded that it wishes to negotiate the social plan separately from the collective labor agreement. These negotiations will take place from 11 October next and should be concluded before the end of the year.

We will regularly inform you about the progress.
