Holland Casino now wants to join forces with the unions to prevent the proposed increase to 37,8% as of January 1, 2026.

No voluntary departure scheme (VAA)

Maintaining employment is the highest priority for De Unie. In addition, De Unie pleaded with Holland Casino for the opening of the voluntary departure scheme (VAA) as included in the current social plan. Unfortunately, the board is not prepared to do so. Holland Casino has indicated that it urgently needs the employees who have been declared redundant in the other branches and currently finds the costs of such a scheme too high.

Zandvoort: almost everyone will be able to be relocated

According to Holland Casino, the closure of the Zandvoort branch is unrelated to the increase in gambling tax. The branch had not been profitable for a long time. Holland Casino has communicated other arguments to its colleagues for the reduction in the number of regions. Holland Casino expects to be able to relocate almost everyone to other branches within 90 minutes of travel time as described in the social plan.
