The collective labor agreement at Holland Casino expires on 1 October 2023. On 7 June De Unie discuss the collective bargaining proposals with its executive group, which will then be submitted to all members. We will submit the final proposals to Holland Casino around 21 June. The core of the collective labor agreement negotiations is “right now” about a substantial structural wage increase.
Prior to this process, the parties to the collective labor agreement will sit down with Holland Casino to look ahead to the forthcoming collective labor agreement negotiations. We are participating in this consultation because it is strategically important to know what Holland Casino intends to come up with. This meeting will take place in early June.
De Unie: doubts about new contract when transferring
De Unie has indicated to Holland Casino that it is not desirable for someone to be offered a different contract by definition when transferred. Holland Casino gives new employees a new contract with a broader job title, for example: the croupiers are now CMD employees. We do not think it desirable that current employees who will work at another location should be offered a new contract.
Holland Casino has accepted our argument after constructive consultation and is considering its position. To be continued.
Research into sustainable employability will be completed in May
The current collective labor agreement includes a study into the sustainable employability of employees. We wanted to agree on this to see whether the employment conditions in this area should also be adjusted for the new generation of HC employees. This research will be ready in time to be included in the collective labor agreement negotiations.
In the meantime, work is also being done on research into how HC deals with employees who (want to) provide informal care.
WDR: clear in mid-May
In mid-May, HC will announce whether the staff will receive a WDR benefit.
