Why did you want De Unie in talks with H&M?

De Unie The AVV union, along with the AVV union, requested an explanation and clarification from H&M regarding the communication it sent to Customer Service Center (CSC) employees. During the employee meeting, it became clear that there was still considerable uncertainty regarding the implementation of the social plan and the timelines.

There's also still considerable uncertainty among employees about their precise rights under the social plan, and the draft settlement agreement appears to deviate from the agreements in the social plan. This is reason enough to discuss the matter.

What was discussed on March 3?

H&M's management has explained in detail the steps they've taken to properly inform all employees. We've discussed our concerns and jointly discussed how to resolve the existing uncertainty.

It turned out that H&M had adapted a number of working methods from the social plan from a practical point of view. This was surprising. De Unie, because this is a unilateral deviation from the social plan, and a social plan can only be amended if all parties agree. H&M agreed to this and has promised to resume discussions on the matter.

De Unie wants to immediately add a number of additional provisions to the social plan, for example to make it possible for employees to contact the UWV without losing the rights under the social plan.

How do we proceed now?

De UnieAVV and H&M agree that H&M's main goal is to provide clarity to the employees of the CSC in Maastricht as quickly as possible. Therefore, we will resume discussions very soon to agree on procedures, communication, and any amendments to the social plan.
