Are you entitled to a third year of unemployment benefit?

October 14, 2020

Do you live and work in the Netherlands? And are you unemployed or will you be unemployed? Then you are entitled to unemployment benefit under certain conditions. The amount depends on the amount of your last salary. And the duration? This was shortened a few years ago: from a maximum of 38 months to a maximum of two years. That is why the Private Supplementation WW (PAWW) foundation was created. This may qualify you for a third year of unemployment benefit.

De Unie can make an agreement with employers to repair the so-called 'third year of unemployment benefit'. We then transfer this to the private PAWW Foundation, which supplements the unemployment benefit with a maximum of 14 months. For example, we have laid down in many different collective labor agreements that the shortening of the statutory unemployment benefit period will be repaired. Are you entitled to a third year of unemployment benefit? Contact us, we will check it for you!

More information about the PAWW? Check the website of the PAWW Foundation.
