The employer has put an end to the negotiations with the unions on a new social plan for all employees in Papendrecht and Hoogeveen and is making a final offer! This final offer can be found De Unie and her fellow unions is downright unacceptable.

Contents of final offer
The main points of the final offer are as follows:
- Duration of social plan 3 years;
- The social plan applies not only to current reorganisations in Papendrecht, but to everyone in all future reorganisations in the entire Dutch GKN Fokker organisation;
- 2 months' exemption from work minus deduction of own leave entitlement;
- Gross signing bonus €2.500 (only payable upon signing of resignation);
- €2.250 gross for outplacement, training, legal support (declaration);
- €486,- payment of compensation for union contributions;
- Statutory transition payment 2025 x factor 1,5 with the statutory maximum as the limit (€ 98.000 or a maximum of one year's salary, so not the statutory maximum * 1,5) to be paid after termination of employment.
The unions have informed GKN Fokker that this final offer will cause 'trouble'! The reason for this is that normally comparable agreements are only made in crisis situations, such as an impending bankruptcy. In the opinion of the unions, there is absolutely no crisis at GKN Fokker and the prospects certainly cannot be considered as a possible crisis. It seems to be all about profit maximization!
It seems that the responsible management is applying the same strategy as during the negotiations on the old social plan: talking at length about abandoning the previous social plan and not intending to come up with the money. It took a threatened strike to change GKN Fokker's mind. We hope that this will not have to happen again, but the management is once again letting it come to that.
Compared to the previous social plan of 2019, the difference is 'day and night'. The most important differences in a row:

* The amounts mentioned in the old social plan were agreed in 2019. For the correct comparison, approximately 2025% inflation since 25 must be taken into account in 2019, which was also not discounted in this final offer.
Below you will find a comparison of some examples of the termination compensation under the old social plan versus the compensation you would receive under the final offer submitted:

*) Salary per month includes all other regular salary components such as holiday pay, etc.
Closing note
The cheese slicer affects all employees for thousands, tens of thousands to more than a hundred thousand euros. In particular, the older employees who have been employed the longest are hit the hardest in their expired leave and compensation.
Please note (!): these are gross amounts and mean that you should take into account approximately 50% of the net actual benefit.
We plan to organize joint staff meetings in Hoogeveen and Papendrecht. Hans Korver will not be present. As soon as he knows the dates of the meetings, he will inform the members. The voting will also open around that time. Members with a Complete or Extra membership can then give their opinion on the final offer from GKN Fokker.
