dsm-firmenich: collective labor agreement 2026

12 December 2025

DSM-Firmenich canceled two consultation meetings because they needed more time to prepare for the next round of collective bargaining agreements. This naturally created enormous time pressure.

On December 9, 2025, the third round finally took place. The parties had intended to reach a negotiated outcome with agreements that would command the support of both the employer and employee organizations. This proved unsuccessful.

The differences between the proposals from dsm-firmenich and those of the unions proved too great to bridge. As far as we were concerned, we weren't finished negotiating. However, the employer indicated that its mandate had ended.

What now?

We received the final offer from dsm-firmenich on December 11 (12:53 PM). You can read the text here .

We are happy to discuss this final offer. In this context, the unions have organized joint member consultations on:

January 8, 2026 at 11:00 AM – Location Delft, Auditorium in the Rosalind Franklin building
January 12, 2026 at 11:00 AM – Location Maastricht, Coka B00 05

An online members' meeting may be held for Union members. You will receive a notification about this at a later date. After the meetings, members with a Full or Extra membership will receive another invitation to vote on the final offer.
