dnata – collective bargaining – update

December 22 2022

Together with 194 colleagues you signed the petition for a better collective labor agreement. This petition was presented to dnata in front of the flat entrance. In the response, Marcel Verkoijen indicated that he heard you. Both a good wage increase and a reduction in the workload are important. He would take that to the negotiations. Both the unions and dnata have moved towards each other, but the offer we have now is nowhere near the mandate you gave in the cafeteria meeting. What do you think of the current offer? Will the mandate stand and should we focus on next steps? Let us know.

What's on the table now?

  • A term from January 1, 2023 to April 1, 2024, or 15 months.
  • € 160 wage increase per month, with effect from April 1, 2023.
  • € 300 net as compensation because the collective labor agreement will continue for 3 months longer, payment in July.
  • Pilot with a 36-hour schedule in a representative operational department while maintaining the current pilots in terms of scheduling.

The other points have also been discussed, but we will come back to them later. For now, the big pain point is on these parts and it's important to make your voice heard about what you think about this.

This does not come close to the minimum that you gave in the canteen meeting, namely a minimum of 7% with a floor of € 250 per month, an increase on 1 January and a term of 12 months.

What now?

You decide that. If we stick to the minimum we've discussed, then we have a next step to take in the process. Let us know what you think of the offer and what you think we should do. A next step could be a letter to the employer with a final question. We will not issue an ultimatum yet, but we will give them one more opportunity to come up with a better offer in the negotiations.
