De Unie, in your interest

Your collective labor agreement and industry

dnata: Collective bargaining: round 3

December 06 2022

De Unie has today (December 6, 2022) for the 3e sat around the table with dnata about your collective labor agreement. The previous rounds focused on making a timely wage offer, because we want to agree on a good collective labor agreement in time. Inflation is now high, at the moment we all notice in the supermarket that you can buy much less groceries for the same money. In addition, the workload has been too heavy for too long. The absenteeism rate continues to rise, which is a clear signal. Something has to happen. The employer now presents us with an impossible choice, choosing between reducing the workload or increasing the salary. Come to the cafeteria meeting on December 8, 2022 at 13:00 PM to let us know what you think of this.

The wage offer

The employer makes a proposal with two options and asks us to choose between reducing the workload or improving the salary. De Unie does not consider this a desirable choice, because the members have indicated that both are extremely important. Below you will find the choices that are proposed.

Option 1 – 'reduction of workload'

  • Term 1 years.
  • Introduction of an average 36-hour working week including 4 ER days (Article 9 paragraph 4 under m is deleted) and increasing the length of the shift to 8 hours.
  • This is an improvement of 5,26%.
  • Age limit no obligation to work shifts and night shifts will be gradually increased in the coming years from 57 to 60 years (Article 11 paragraph 5 a and b): 2023: 58 years, 2024: 59 years, 2025: 60 years.

Option 2 – 'improvement salary'

  • Term 1 years.
  • Structural wage increase of € 100 per month as of April 1, 2023.
  • For scales 4 to 6, this results in a percentage increase of between 4% and 6%.
  • Increase shift length to 8 hours.
  • Age limit no obligation to work shifts and night shifts will be gradually increased in the coming years from 57 to 60 years (Article 11 paragraph 5 a and b): 2023: 58 years, 2024: 59 years, 2025: 60 years.

What do we do now?

This Thursday at 8 December at 13:00 is organizing De Unie along with the other union a canteen meeting. It is important to get together quickly, because we want to prevent it taking longer than a year before a new collective labor agreement is drawn up. Come next Thursday to let us know what you think should happen and to make it clear to dnata how you feel about this proposal.
