Discussions on the future of the collective labor agreement for contract catering
The current collective labor agreement for Contract Catering, including inflight, expires on December 31, 2025. All members of the Veneca employers' association have now canceled their membership effective January 1, 2026. After the formal cancellation was announced, De Unie and the other unions are in discussions with several employers about the future of the collective bargaining agreement. These discussions are informal and proceeding in a positive atmosphere. We realize that things will certainly not remain as they are now and are discussing the possibilities for reaching a collective bargaining agreement. As soon as more information is available about the situation after January 1, 2026, we will let our members know. We'd love to hear your thoughts on this matter—please let the representative know.
RVU
The Early Retirement Scheme (RVU) launched in April 2021 and expires on January 1, 2026, in accordance with the Contract Catering collective labor agreement and the RVU Act. As of September 2025, no new applications could be submitted. The current RVU expires on January 1, 2026. This will not affect current users, who will remain covered by the current RVU. The unions, employers, and the fund's board are working on a new RVU for the period starting on January 1, 2026.
Elections
There will be elections again on Wednesday, October 29, 2025. The Trade Union Federation for Professionals, where De Unies member of, has reviewed the party platforms on the topic of income, tax, and expenditure security.
