In three rounds of negotiations

Yes, it is possible, agreeing a new collective labor agreement before the current one has expired, that alone makes this collective labor agreement special. TLN/VVT explained why they wanted to reach an agreement quickly and all three unions could and wanted to go along with this. The employers' side had the courage to be vulnerable in this regard and therefore immediately made a historically high opening bid for this sector. In addition, an agreement was made that in the period from January to September 2023 the parties to the collective labor agreement will discuss the renewal agenda. In this agenda, all topics to be put forward can be discussed. Binding agreements will be made, which will then be reflected in the 2024 collective labor agreement. The chance that the collective labor agreement for 2024 will once again be concluded in time is therefore perhaps greater.
One of the best gains in this collective labor agreement is, according to De Unie that the parties dared to trust each other.

What are the voting results?

We have presented you the "final offer" positively.
44% voted in favour
32% voted against
24% have checked abstinence.
The opportunity to comment was widely used in all three categories.

The FNV and CNV presented the employer's offer in a neutral manner.
FNV members voted:
for 75%
By 22%
Abstinence 3%

Members CNV members voted:
for 70,93%
By 29,07%
Abstinence –

The remarkable big difference between the voting ratio of de Uniemembers in relation to the members of the other unions I cannot explain.

What general comments have you made?

Strikingly, the same comments recurred in all three for/against or abstention categories.

  1. The biggest criticism you have made is that the wage offer is too low. Although a one-off of 250 euros gross and a 7,5% wage increase in a 12-month contract seems a lot, it is not even half that to maintain purchasing power. There is absolutely no question of an improvement in purchasing power.
  2. The above is especially difficult to swallow when you consider that the sector has been lagging behind other sectors for years.
  3. This is followed by non-reimbursement of the first 10 km of travel costs. You think this is not possible. You have those travel costs and they must be reimbursed. Many of you have indicated that if you live no further than 10 km from your location, a travel allowance is not necessary.
  4. The fact that nothing is done about the Staffel break is a hot topic! The commentators on this point are angry about this.
  5. Other comments, less mentioned, concern the waiting day and various other subjects.

It is nice to mention that in addition to the criticism, many positive things were also mentioned in the comments, for example the compensation of training hours.

Future agenda

The interpretation and elaboration of the Future Agenda will determine whether the employer side has earned the trust that you have now given by agreeing to this “final offer”.

Executive group

In the very short term, the executives group will determine which topics we want to have on the Future Agenda.
