A social plan
The social plan to be agreed upon will have to absorb the social and personnel consequences of this reorganization. Alfen's multi-year plan will answer, among other things, the question of how to work more efficiently and smarter, in order to make the company healthy again. Alfen indicates that "this may mean that changes will be made that may have social consequences for employees to a greater or lesser extent".
De Unie and her fellow unions would therefore like to agree on a good social plan with your employer. In order to do this, we want to involve all union members and other employees of Alfen in the discussion about the social plan.
What is a social plan?
A social plan is a document in which the employer describes how he will proceed in the event of a reorganization and what facilities and financial compensation he will make available to employees who may lose their jobs as a result of the reorganization.
A social plan contains agreements on dismissal or transfer of employees. The most important parts of a social plan are:
- Layoff order: which employees should leave and who should stay (leavers and stayers).
- Internal support by employer in finding a new job.
- External outplacement support in finding a new job (search period): how long may an employee search for a new job – at the employer's expense?
- Amount of severance pay.
That means that we started our commitment to a good social plan. Therefore, we invite the members to a meeting that is intended for all employees.
We will hold this meeting on:
October 25, 2024
Time: 16: 30 - 17: 30 hours
Location: Canteen, Hefbrugweg 79, Almere
Make sure you are there! This is about your job and your livelihood!
