Aegon: CLA and social plan

We have been negotiating for a few months for a new collective labor agreement and a new social plan from 1 July 2022. Monday 27 June and Tuesday 28 June 2022 we had the last negotiations. We have come to a good agreement on almost all points, but we were just unable to reach a negotiated result on wages.

Aegon now offers the package in the form of a final offer for the new collective labor agreement and the social plan. Below the most important items:

  • The term of the collective labor agreement and the social plan is two years, i.e. from 1 July 2022 to 30 June 2024.
  • There are two structural wage increases; as of September 1, 2022 of 3,5% and as of July 1, 2023 of 2,5%.
  • As of 1 July 9, employees in salary scales 1 to 2023 will receive a one-off payment of €300 gross.
  • The current social plan will be continued and adjusted on two points. The first point is that the personal budget will be capped at € 1 as of 2022 October 200.000. The other point is that voluntary mobility will be made more attractive from the same date.
  • Leave schemes are being expanded and made more inclusive as employees and families also change in identity and composition.
  • Investments are made in increasing employability and well-being by strengthening people management skills, introducing an RVU scheme, vitality budget and digital mental health check.
  • The theme of sustainability and improving the position of temporary workers is being fleshed out.

Now it is up to members to cast their vote on the package. The voting period runs until Thursday 28 July 2022† If the members agree, you can assume that the pay increase will continue in September. If the members do not agree, your employer has informed you that there will be no new collective labor agreement and social plan for the time being.
