Kick-off new collective labor agreement and social plan
Friday 28 February 2025 there is an appointment to start the process for the new negotiations. We look back on the last negotiation process and make a schedule for 2025 with working agreements. As soon as there is more clarity about this, we will inform the members further.
The current collective labor agreement and social plan have been registered with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment, and the final step has thus been completed.
AI
On 1 August 2024, the European AI Act came into force. This European law is the first in the world to set strict requirements for the development and use of AI. In the coming period, this law will have to be implemented in the Member States.
Our trade union federation VCP has listed which elements of the AI Act are most relevant for employees, employers and the workplace. Employees and their representatives (trade unions, works council) will be given the opportunity to have their say on the use of AI. At the same time, they will also have to be alert to issues that are not allowed, such as emotion recognition in the workplace or in education, and biometric categorisation. AI aimed at making decisions that affect the employment relationship, such as promotion or dismissal, or monitoring and surveillance with AI are permitted, but under strict conditions. As are AI for organising work (such as scheduling) and biometric recognition (such as facial recognition) in the workplace. Read more via AI Act: What's in it for Employees – VCP.
