After our call in the latest member information, many members informed us that they were in principle in favor of extending the old social plan. This social plan ends on July 1. We have discussed this with Achmea in recent weeks. The good news is that we have now reached a negotiating result.
The result
You can view the text of the negotiation result here read. The term of the new social plan is 2 years and in broad terms the social plan (such as the agreements regarding redeployment and compensation in the event of dismissal) will therefore remain unchanged.
The changes
In addition to a number of (non-substantive) textual changes, it has been agreed that the Pluspool pilot will be extended, that the redundancy budget can be spent more generously (All You Can Learn) and that the travel time in case of location will be adjusted slightly.
We dwelled on the latter topic for quite some time and have reached an acceptable compromise. The old agreement assumed a limit of 90 minutes one-way journey based on public transport. In principle this remains the case. What is new is that if the travel time calculated on the basis of public transport exceeds 90 minutes, we will then look at which means of transport the employee actually travels with. If the employee now travels by public transport, he or she has the choice of following work or making use of the social plan. And if the employee now travels by car and the travel time by car does not increase, then that choice does not exist and the employee in principle follows the work to the new location. This provision of the social plan has been tightened slightly, without employees experiencing any disadvantages in practice.
Finally, during the term of the social plan, we will conduct further research into improving the flow of employees to prevent redundancy.
Satisfied
The result achieved corresponds to the wish of many of our members to extend the existing social plan unchanged as much as possible. That is why we have presented the negotiation result to our members with a positive voting recommendation.
Members of De Unie have the opportunity to cast their votes until June 27th. They have received a separate message about this.
