ABN AMRO final offer

01 September 2022
ABN AMRO

On 29 and 31 August, we held intensive consultations to arrive at a new collective labor agreement. We are very disappointed that this did not work out. In the evening of 31 August, the bank made a final offer. That means this is it and the bank doesn't want to negotiate any further.

What wanted De Unie
In an effort to get out of it, we made a proposal:

  • A collective labor agreement for the duration of 2 years, from July 1, 2022 to July 1, 2024.
  • As of 1 July 2022, a structural wage increase of €1.500 gross (in concrete terms, this means a structural monthly wage increase of €125, regardless of your salary scale) and a structural wage increase of 1,5%. Compensation for the fact that no pension can be accrued on this amount until 1 January 2023, in accordance with the bank's proposal (but a higher amount, corresponding to € 1.500).
  • As of 1 January 2023, a structural wage increase of €500 and a structural wage increase of 3%.
  • As of 1 January 2024, a structural wage increase of 3%.

Final offer
The bank was not in favor of this and came up with its last extreme offer, a final offer. The bank has made a final offer only on the subject of wages. All other proposals from unions were not negotiable. The final bid is as follows:

  • A collective labor agreement for a period of 2 years, from 1 July 2022 to 1 July 2024.
  • As of July 1, 2022, the bank offers a structural salary increase in the form of a fixed amount; so for everyone, regardless of your pay scale, the same (based on full-time gross salary).
  • The bank offers € 1.332. You will not receive that amount all at once. With this proposal, your monthly salary will be structurally increased by € 111 gross (on a full-time basis). Because the salary system cannot handle the fact that the wage increase in the second half of 2022 is pension-bearing, in 2022 you do not accrue € 666 (half of the fixed amount by which the bank wants to increase wages) in 2022. pension on. To compensate for this, the bank will pay you a one-off amount of € 189 gross in XNUMX.
  • As of July 1, 2023, the bank offers a structural wage increase of 3%.

Cast your vote

We will submit this final offer to you for a vote. We see that inflation is rising even more, groceries are becoming more expensive and energy bills are rising again. We have tried to find a middle ground with a counterproposal. But unfortunately the bank did not want to go along with that. And more than 4100 employees have signed the petition and this final offer does not do justice to it. We think the final offer is insufficient. You can here read the entire final offer.

The floor is now up to the members. They can vote until September 15, 16.00 p.m.
