On Monday, September 29, 2025, Sabic Limburg informed the joint employee organizations about a proposed organizational transformation as part of the EU Transformation & Portfolio Optimization. A request for advice was submitted to the works council at the end of August.According to Sabic, redundancies as a result of this reorganization unfortunately cannot be ruled out, but the company wants to do everything possible to keep this to a minimum.

SABIC could not yet provide us with specific information about how many jobs will be lost. However, it is clear that a social plan must be agreed upon to mitigate the impact of the reorganization on those affected as much as possible.
We will therefore negotiate on this matter; the first negotiation date has been set for October 9, 2025. The unions are jointly committed to a long-term social plan with a broad scope and at a level at least equivalent to agreements made during previous reorganizations.
